Terms of Use
Last updated: October 10, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and the developer of DojoLift (“we”, “us”). By ticking “I understand that exercise can cause injury, and that I train at my own risk” and tapping “I am 18 or older and I agree”, or by using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the app.
2. What the app is
DojoLift is a workout planner and timer. It asks you a few questions and builds a gym workout plan from your answers using fixed rules. It describes how common exercises are performed, times your rest, records the weights and repetitions you enter, and suggests a weight for your next workout based on what you recorded.
All of this is general fitness information. The app does not know your medical history, injuries or physical condition, no professional has reviewed your plan, and the app is not a medical device. Nothing in it is medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment. The plans, exercise descriptions and suggested weights are suggestions only. You decide whether an exercise, a weight or a workout is right for you.
3. Price
DojoLift is free to download and to use. This version has no purchases, no subscriptions and no advertising.
A later version may offer optional paid features. If that happens, these terms will be updated first, the price will be shown in the app before you pay anything, and nothing will be charged without your confirmation.
4. Health and safety
Exercise, and weight training in particular, carries a risk of injury. Talk to a doctor before you start or change an exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition or an injury, are pregnant, or have not exercised for a long time.
By using the app you confirm that you are healthy enough to exercise, or that you have asked a doctor and been told that you may. If your health changes, stop doing the workouts until you have asked a doctor.
The app cannot see you. It does not supervise you, check your technique or correct your form, and it does not replace a qualified trainer. The exercise descriptions and drawings are general and simplified. They may contain mistakes, and they may not suit your body or the equipment in your gym.
Suggested weights, repetitions and rest times are calculated automatically from the numbers you enter. They can be too much for you. A suggestion is never an instruction: the decision is always yours, and whenever you have any doubt, choose less.
Start with light weights and use proper technique. You are responsible for the equipment you use and for the place where you train: check that machines and weights are in working order and set up correctly, use safety catches and collars, ask someone to spot you when a lift calls for it, ask gym staff to show you how a machine works if you are unsure, and follow the rules of your gym.
Do not let the app distract you. Pay attention to your surroundings.
Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath or discomfort. The app is not for emergencies: if you feel unwell or are hurt, stop and call your local emergency number.
You alone are responsible for how you train. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you use the app and you exercise at your own risk.
5. Assumption of risk and release
Weight training and other exercise can cause serious injury, including injuries to muscles, joints and bones, heart problems and, in rare cases, death. These risks exist even when an exercise is done correctly.
You understand these risks and you choose to accept them. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you take full responsibility for your training and for any injury, loss or damage that results from it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release us, and anyone who works on the app with us, from all claims, demands and liability for injury, illness, death, loss or damage connected with your use of the app, or with exercise you do while using it or after using it.
This section does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you. If you do not accept this section, do not use the app.
6. Timers and notifications
Timers, sounds, vibrations and notifications depend on your device, its settings, its battery and its operating system. They may be delayed, silenced or not delivered at all. Do not rely on the app for anything where timing is critical to safety.
7. Your data
Everything you enter in the app (your answers, your plan, your workout history, the weights and repetitions you log, and your settings) is stored only on your device. We do not keep a copy and we cannot restore it. Your data can be lost if you delete the app, or if you reset, replace or lose your device.
The Privacy Policy below explains this in more detail and is part of these terms.
8. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store’s usage rules.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or rent the app, or use it for any unlawful purpose, except to the extent that the law allows this despite these terms.
9. Intellectual property
The app, including its code, design, graphics, sounds, texts and name, belongs to us or to our licensors and is protected by law. These terms give you no rights in the app beyond the license above. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely and without any obligation to you.
10. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that a plan will produce any particular result, that the app will work without interruptions or errors, or that it will remain available in the future.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any personal injury, loss of data or other loss that arises from your use of the app or from your exercise activity.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, and (b) USD 20.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, and nothing in them takes away rights that you have as a consumer under that law.
12. Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to cover our losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, from any claim that someone else makes against us because you broke these terms, used the app in a way they do not allow, or let another person use the app on your device.
This section does not apply where the law of your country does not allow it for consumers.
13. Changes
We may update the app, add, change or remove features (including making some features paid in a later version, as described in section 3), or stop offering the app. We may also update these terms. If a change is material, the app will ask you to accept the new version before you continue.
14. Ending
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. Your license ends automatically if you do not comply with these terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts in Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not apply to the extent that the consumer protection law of the country where you live gives you the right to a different law or a different court.
16. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it.
If the app fails to conform to a warranty that applies by law, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any). To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the app.
Apple is not responsible for handling any claims relating to the app or to your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app does not meet a legal or regulatory requirement, claims under consumer protection or privacy law, and claims that the app infringes the intellectual property rights of a third party.
You confirm that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that the U.S. Government has designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you.

In short
Your answers, your plan and your workouts stay on your device. DojoLift has no account and no advertising, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not sell your information. Nothing you enter in the app is sent to us or to anyone else.
What is stored, and where
The app stores the following on your device only: your answers to the questions the app asks (goal, level, whether you are a man or a woman if you chose to say, age range, what worries you about the gym, how many times a week and on which days you train, session length, how you split the week, equipment, focus, and any area you asked the plan to go easy on), your workout plan, your workout history (dates, durations and what you completed), the weights and repetitions you log, your settings, and the date on which you accepted these terms.
This information stays in the app’s storage on your device. We have no access to it. If you use iCloud or computer backups, Apple may include the app’s data in your own backup, under your Apple account and your backup settings.
Permissions
Notifications: if you allow them, the app shows a notification when your rest time is over. These notifications are created on your device. No information is sent to us or to anyone else in order to deliver them.
The app does not record audio and never asks for access to your microphone, camera, location, contacts or Apple Health data.
Apple
You download the app from the App Store, and Apple handles that under its own privacy policy. If you have agreed in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may show us aggregated statistics about downloads, usage and crashes. These statistics do not identify you.
Children
The app is for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can delete individual workouts (with their logged sets) from the History screen, delete workout plans from the Routines screen, and build a new plan at any time from the Plan screen. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device. Because we hold no information about you, there is nothing for us to delete.
Changes
If a future version of the app starts to collect information (for example for purchases, for accounts or for syncing between devices), we will update this policy first and the app will ask you to accept the new version.
